If you’re an artist expect the unexpected when you create. No matter what media is used, there’s no way of knowing for sure at the start exactly what the end result will be. Artists take a leap of faith. They follow their passions and hearts; use their perception, talent, tools, materials, instincts and techniques to make something out of nothing.

 The end result may be close to an artist’s original concept or they may have traveled up a totally unexpected road. Artists go through trial and error, sometimes making mistakes that work in their favor. Somehow they know when a piece is finished… After a while artists gain enough confidence and experience to trust the creative process will lead them to somewhere of value. Hopefully along the way, as they express themselves, they also learn, discover, feel joy and sometimes get surprised.
